Do I Need a Bike Fit?
Professional fitting is not just for professional athletes or serious amateurs. If you have a road or mountain bike, enjoy riding often, and are interested in getting the most out of your equipment, chances are you will benefit from our fitting services. Saddle discomfort, hand fatigue, shoulder pain, neck pain, and other “hot spots”
Our philosophy is simple: we make the bike fit you – not the opposite.
Fit is by far the most important, yet most neglected, dimension of cycling performance. Regardless of wheels and equipment, if your fit is inefficient, less power is going to the road or the trail. More importantly, a compromised position on the bike may lead to nagging pain, or even worse, injury.
Don Sak (firstname.lastname@example.org), Brian Rybak (email@example.com), and Rob Thompson (firstname.lastname@example.org) are Specialized SBCU BG Fit and Serotta SICI certified fitters respectively. Among other things, they specialize in fitting new bikes and assessing existing bike setups for fit and comfort.
What Do I Bring With Me?
You are going to be on your bike pedaling, so you will want your shorts, shoes, pedals, jersey, water, and possibly a sweat towel. We will provide the rest!
What Does My Money Buy Me?
An Existing Bike Fit optimizes the fit of your current bike. Using your current equipment as best we can, we dial in your bike as close to your optimal fit as possible. An Existing Fit is appropriate for mountain, road, cyclocross, and triathlon bikes. Existing Fits are by appointment only.
An Existing Bike Fit includes the following:
Designed to optimize the pedal/cleat interface, a Cleat Installation and 3D alignment is perfect for dialing in a new set of shoes, addressing nagging foot discomfort, or figuring out the most efficient clipless pedal setup possible. Appropriate for all cycling disciplines, Cleat Installation and 3D Alignment is by appointment only and requires about 45 minutes of fitting time. A prior Existing or Size Cycle Fit is strongly recommended.
