Spin's Spring Consignment Sale

Sunday April 14th, 2024

Bike Take-In Period - February 1st, 2024 to March 30th, 2024

How It Works

Before The Sale

  • Bring your old bike shop quality bike into our Lakewood shop between February 1st and March 30th
  • One of our mechanics will quickly assess the bike and make a recommendation on how much to sell it for. Final price is up to you.
  • We'll hold onto the bike until the day of the sale, Sunday, April 14th 2024.

Day Of The Sale

  • Your bike will be displayed for our one day sale.
  • Sorry, no test rides and no haggling.
  • All bikes are first come, first serve.

After The Sale

  • We'll call you to let you know if your bike sold.
  • If your bike sold, you can claim your 100% store credit. If you chose 70% cash back, you can pick up your check.
  • If your bike didn't sell, no worries! Come pick it up before Sunday, April 28th, 2024. Unclaimed bikes will be donated or disposed of.

Helpful Tips

  • Have a good idea of what your bike is worth. Sites like eBay, Facebook Marketplace, and Bicycle Blue Book can help give you an idea.
  • Clean your bike before you enter it into the sale.
  • Take off anything you want to keep beforehand. Bottle cages, phone mounts, computers, etc.

FAQ

  • How do I know if my bike is 'bike shop quality'?
    • 'Bike shop quality' refers to any bike brand that sells or has sold in bike shops. Specialized, Cannondale, Trek, Giant; to name a few. Sorry, Huffy, Pacific, Kent, and recent model year Schwinn and Nishikis aren't bike shop quality. Not sure if yours makes the cut? Call us.

  • My bike needs some work. Can I still sell it?
    • Yes. You can choose to get it repaired before you sell it, but all bikes in the sale will have a Mechanic's Assessment Checklist attached. The checklist will state what condition each part is in. Most buyers will get repairs done after they purchase it.

  • Do you know what's coming in?
    • Unfortunately, no.

  • Can I take a peek at what's in the sale?
    • Sorry, no. Everyone will see what we have on April 14th.  All bikes are first come, first serve. Come early!
